I chose the college associates degree programs that I ended up getting by flipping a coin. I know, I know. It’s not the best way to figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life. But the fact of the matter is that I wasn’t able to figure it out any other way. There were two similar degree choices that each had pros and cons and there was no clear winner between the two of them. Flipping a coin worked.
I don’t necessarily recommend this as a course of action. And I think those people who do choose to use this wacky decision-making method when figuring out school should use it only for choices that aren’t that important. Flipping a coin about whether to do a health care program at Brown College or to get a Gibbs health care degree is one thing. Flipping a coin about being a nursing assistant vs. going to medical school is a little bit different.
I suppose that there are better decision-making methods even for the small decisions like the choice between the two degrees that I made by flipping a coin. I just wasn’t aware of any of them at the time. I was very much in a position that I either needed to make a choice or not get a degree and I wanted to get a degree. I guess I could’ve done eenie meenie miney mo instead.

I recently found out that a kid I used to babysit about 15 years ago, when I was a young teen myself, is now working toward a radiography degree. I actually know a lot of people who work or study in the health care industry — my sister-in-law and mother-in-law, friends, and acquaintances. It’s pretty obviously a thriving industry and a great source of jobs.
There are many schools that offer training for health care careers. Sanford Brown is especially well known in the industry. The Sanford Brown College Milwaukee campus offers associate’s programs such as cardiovascular sonography, diagnostic medical sonography, and radiography. Likewise, the Sanford Brown Institute Atlanta campus offers programs in billing and coding (a specialization in the industry and a good source of jobs), cardiovascular technology, and medical assisting.
If you’re looking for health career training, Florida is another option. The Sanford Brown campus in Fort Lauderdale also offers programs in billing and coding, surgical technology, medical assisting, dental assisting, and pharmaceutical positions.
My in-laws and friends all seem to be doing pretty well in their careers, and haven’t been affected at all by the shortage of jobs or the recession. It really looks like a great field to be in!

There are many great colleges throughout the Washington DC area so it’s no surprise that you’ve chosen to attend an institution of higher education there. Most of these schools have programs that help to make your learning easier. However that doesn’t mean that college is going to be a snap. The transition to college from high school is a tough one and you may find that you’re struggling to keep up at a new DC school. Although this can be frustrating, it doesn’t have to be debilitating. You can make choices that will empower your ability to learn and will get your college education off to a good start.
One of the best choices that you might make for yourself is to hire Washington DC private tutors to assist you with your education. This can sound like something that’s prohibitively expensive but it doesn’t have to be. Washington DC tutoring can be affordable, especially if you locate tutors within your school’s programs. Alternatively, look for a Washington DC tutoring service that gears its programs towards working with low-income students. Your education shouldn’t suffer simply because you don’t have a lot of money.
Life in Washington DC is exciting and adventurous but it can also be tough. The fact that you may be in a new place and are certainly in a new environment doesn’t make it easy for you to learn. However, you can certainly achieve success at a DC college by focusing your efforts on finding ways to compensate for the difficulties that you experience. Identifying and meeting your own needs is what being an adult is all about!

Students who are coming into their adulthood in the twenty first century expect that life is going to be about change. These are individuals who have grown up in an era when technology is replaced and upgraded frequently. As a result, they assume that the rest of life will also have the ability to change quickly. It is an underlying assumption of theirs that their education is going to be as fast-paced and forward-thinking as the rest of their lives have been.
These students don’t want to study ancient languages like Latin or ancient philosophers like Socrates. They want to get degrees that will teach them the skills they need in a modern working environment. That’s why there are so many schools like Gibbs College in Norristown, schools where students can learn how to work in modern fields.
Norristown Gibbs College offers twenty first century associate degree programs such as The Digital Lifestyle and Network Security Program and the Graphic Design and Multimedia Degree. These classes teach modern technology and job skills for the modern market. They also teach students how to further adapt to changes in that technology so that the degree will remain applicable in the future. This is what students today are seeking.
