Studying During my Golden Years

Most people think of cruising the world, taking salsa classes, and enjoying a generally relaxed life, when they think about their golden years. I however, intend to ride off into my sunset years, with a college degree in hand.

At the age of 69, I must admit that I have had a fairly successful life. Financial problems prevented me from going to college in my youth, and I began working soon after high school. It’s all worked out great for me, and I ran my own successful business for many years before selling it off for a tidy profit last year. With enough funds in my retirement account, I can safely say that I have no worries about the future. But the one thing that I regret not having done in my life is getting a college education. With all my days free now, it seems like that time has finally come.

The town that we have decided to spend our retired life in, has no access to good colleges. My best option therefore would be to join one of the many online colleges that offer students like me a chance to earn their college degrees. I’ve looked up a few of them, and I have already decided on an online business degree. My wife is as excited as I am, and has plans to obtain a teaching degree.

They say you are never too old to learn, and I must say, that’s very true in my case!

Job Options With Web Design Associate Degree Online

I am looking for opportunities. I have obtained my web design associate degree online. I’ve worked hard to learn all of the latest technologies and applications and I’m ready to get started. The road to finding a job hasn’t been too difficult and I currently have several options in mind. Yet, as I search for the right type of job for my degree, I am also wondering what other types of degrees I can take alongside my current one to make myself more attractive to employers or to further my interests.
 
One option that I am thinking about is simply getting my online bachelors degree. It seems like a great way to simply advance what I already know. There are some fantastic programs available and a variety of courses I want to take. Still, I’m wondering what the best educational program for me is.
 
I am also thinking about getting a bachelor degree in education online. That would give me the foundation to keep learning and exploring my field and maybe even teach it one day. That would be an ideal situation and definitely will offer a variety of options for me long into my future. What’s more, I can get this education right online.

The King of the Golf Course Jobs

It’s been mentioned that there are quite a few golf course jobs where you can make a fantastic living. Some of them are easy and some of them are difficult. What is the king of all of these jobs? It’s the head professional. As the head teaching pro at a golf club, you are the man of the hour. You command a big salary, a lot of attention, and you run the show.
 
How do you get to be king? As with anything else, it takes a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck. More times than not, good professional jobs don’t just fall right into people’s laps. The people in those positions have usually attended golf schools and they almost always have extensive ability to teach golf. They are, for all intent and purposes, the cream of the crop when it comes to golf.
 
If you want to get there, then you need to spend your life around the game. No one becomes the head pro by just putting a little bit of time in. You have to be willing to dedicate your entire career to learning the game and playing the game. You are the man at a club, so it’s on you to be as good at golf as you possibly can be.

Tampa Bay Health Care Rays

There are two things I enjoy: Baseball and Medicine. I’m aware that those two things tend to have very little in common. I am also aware that I don’t care.

I grew up watching the Seattle Mariners and being a big fan of Ken Griffey Jr. during his youth. To this day, it is thank to him that I am such a huge baseball fan, and I continue to check his line score after every Cincinnati game before I go to sleep.

But the days of the Mariners being an enjoyable team to watch is long gone. They have loaded their team with veterans on the decline, completely ignoring all signs that these were players with tremendous collapse potential and signing them to multi-year contracts of several million dollars all to watch it blow up in their faces. This is not a team I want to watch anymore.

But the Tampa Bay Rays, on the other hand, are a team I can be proud of. They are a team filled with youth and talent, with a front office that knows what they are doing. So when I decided to try to find a job in the medical industry, I thought it would be a good idea to find Tampa health care programs, so I can not only get a good education, but also be close to the team that I bet I will enjoy watching for years.
